During our first rotation we practiced mouse/trackpad skills with our K-2 classes. Students worked on moving their mouse, left-clicking, and left-click and dragging. For those students who did not have a mouse, the same skills were practiced with their trackpads. 3-5 students practiced their keyboarding skills in their Typing.com accounts. We reviewed the home row (asdf and jkl;) and worked on typing accuracy and speed (wpm). Grades 3-5 also created Digital Avatar Glyphs and typed short stories to go along with their avatars.
Specials classes switched to a two-week rotation in October. Make sure you are checking with your classroom teachers to find out when you have technology with Mrs. Bartnick or Mrs. Solak. Our Bitmoji Computer lab is always available for you to explore on Remote Wednesdays (even if it is not your two-week rotation in tech) to practice your technology skills.
