K-5 participated in the Hour of Code during computer science education week. The Hour of Code is a global movement by Computer Science Education Week and Code.org reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries through a one-hour introduction to computer science and computer programming. Students started with the basics, worked their way up, and learned that anyone can code!
K-1 students learned basic programming concepts by coding a character (fuzzball) through various mazes. Second graders designed their own candy troll to program on a multi-level quest for candy using their coding skills. 3-5 students used code to program their own sports game on Code.org.
